WACO, TX October 2, 2014Generations Adoptions has been named a Charity Champion today by First National Bank McGregor.  Generations is the third non-profit this year to be applauded by the bank for its efforts in serving the Central Texas community.

Generations’s mission is to provide permanent Christian families for children in need and counseling and support services for women considering adoption. The agency offers a complete network of care that lasts a lifetime for birth parents placing for adoption, for children in need and for adoptive parents.

“We at Generations are thrilled to be named a Charity Champion,” said Cathy Sones, executive director, Generations Adoptions. “It is especially meaningful as we celebrate our first 10 years of service, providing a network of care and support for 189 children and adoptive families.  This opportunity will allow us to expand our educational and support services to more children and families. We welcome community support through donated services and funds to help improve our technology infrastructure through much- needed new computers, software and an upgraded website.”

An awareness campaign is underway for Generations Adoptions, which is funded by the First National Bank McGregor.  This includes broadcast, print and banner advertising, as well as social media.  Generations will be featured during a live, on-field presentation at the TCU vs. Baylor football game at McLane Stadium on October 11th. As a Charity Champion, Generations’s leadership team will be trained by 360 Solutions, which is also funded by the bank.

Selecting Generations Adoptions as a Charity Champion was an easy decision, since several First National Bank McGregor employee families have been touched by adoption.

“For my wife and I as a married couple, nothing has been so profound, awesome and life-changing than adopting our daughter,” said David Littlewood, president of First National Bank McGregor. “Adoption is not only a gift for both the child and the adoptive family, it is also a gift for birth parents who embrace counseling and support from adoption professionals, such as those at Generations Adoptions.”

First National Bank McGregor named Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of McLennan and Hill Counties a Charity Champion on August 22, 2014, and AVANCE Waco was named a Charity Champion on September 4, 2014.  The bank’s fourth Charity Champion will be announced October 24th.
